Thank you to all who participated at the 2023 competition and congratulations to our 2023 Indy Crossroads Cheerleading Champions! We hope to see you all again in 2024!
The 2023 competition was held at a local Indy High School & had 4 divisions separated by cheerleaders grade! Every cheerleader received a metal and 4 teams went home with a Championship Trophy!
Teams had the opportunity to choose 2 cheerleaders per grade to represent their team in the Jump-Off Showcase after all teams competed. Jump-off participants went home with a button and 1 cheerleader per grade was presented an award for their excellent jumps!
2024
WARM-UPS
Each team will have the opportunity to warm up before competition time.
Each team gets 15 minutes to warm-up on dead mat.
10 minutes for Tumbling/ Stunt on warm-up mat 1-2 dead mats and 5 minute reserved open space (most likely on gym-floor) for Walk-Throughs.
Warm-Ups may look slightly different each year due to access at the venue, information will be sent to coaches after registration closes.
PERFORMANCE:
The competition will be held on Deadmat.
2 minutes and 30 second time limit for all teams performing.
Timer starts when performance begins
NOT included in time limit: entering/ exiting and getting set.
Coaches are expected to be spotters for their team if necessary.
Safety Rules apply that USA Cheerleading recommends, safety rules can be found in “Competition Expectations, Rules, & Policies” Packet located in the “forms” tab above.
All cheerleaders should feel safe and comfortable with the skills they are doing. Do NOT have cheerleaders do skills they are not ready for. We want a fun and safe experience for everyone!
Teams participating in the competition will perform and compete against other youth cheerleading teams.
DIVISIONS:
Divisions are determined and separated by grade levels.
Teams compete with other teams in same division.
Participants can age up but NOT age down.
Example:
Cheerleaders must be in second grade to participate in the 2nd-grade division. 2nd graders may participate in the 3rd grade division if teams are combined however, 3rd graders may NOT age down to the 2nd grade division.
SCORING:
Each competition team will be scored and scored fairly.
3-5 local experienced cheerleading judges will score each team individually.
Score sheet focuses on teams overall performance and how well they can execute it.
Scoring includes 8 categories:
Engagement, Cheer and Chants, Standing/ Running Tumbling, Dance, Jumps, Stunts, Pyramid, & Overall

Bring whatever level your teams are at, this competition is not focused on difficulty. The competition is a showcase to perform what your teams can do and how well they can execute it!
All cheerleading participants will receive a medal and trophies will be awarded to first-place teams.
All teams who register have the opportunity to enter the Jump-Off competition held during the competition after all teams have performed!
Judges will award certificates to the Jump-Off Showcase Champions and a participation button to all cheerleaders who participate.
2 cheerleaders per grade for each team may participate.
Ex.: If your team is 5th& 6th you can have four cheerleaders (2 from each grade) participate.
The jump-off is divided by grades and each participant can demonstrate 1 jump of their choice and 1 toe touch.
Jump-Off will be in front of an audience and judges.
Cheerleader fees cover all guests.
All competition and exhibition teams are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the Jump-Off Showcase!
